As an Korean American, I really do like country music, though I will not go as far as to do line dancing. I do not know how to swim and contrary to most stereotypical thoughts I do not play golf. On top of that anything with more than six legs scare the bejeebers out of me.

Sallyann Corn, Social Coordinator
Before co-founding fruitsuper design, Sallyann attended both the Art Institute of Seattle and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She has worked as a design professional for the Space Needle Corporation, as a professional Model Maker, and as a Product Designer for Jennifer Hoar Designs. Sallyann is a problem solving, design loving, sarcastic foodie, and will design anything she can get her hands on.

Andrew lives on Whidbey Island with his wife and 3 young kids. He is currently working as a independent design consultant and preparing to launch a new business identity. In the new year he plans to launch soulform.com to promote his work.

Noa Dvoskin, IDSA volunteer
Hi, my name is Noa; I am an industrial and interactive designer from Israel. I discovered my passion first as a Ceramic and Glass Designer, and did an internship in glass blowing in a glass factory in the Czech-Republic. Later on I pursued a Masters degree in industrial design. During my studies, a product I designed was chosen to represent my school at the Microsoft research expo, and I flew all the way to Seattle to attend the conference. I worked in the High-Tech Industry in Israel as a UX designer and I currently work at Microsoft as a product designer.

Michelle Steed, IDSA volunteer
Michelle Steed, a recent re-plant to Seattle (hometown) from San Francisco, CA (10 yrs). While in SF I attended San Francisco State University to acquire an MA in Industrial Arts/ Product design, volunteered within IDSA-SFSU student organization as Vice president and Secretary, and Co-created/ coordinated ‘Industrial Design Outreach’ (IDO) an organization that promotes Industrial Design to k-12 grade for 3 years.

Bernadette is a graduate of the UW ID program, and has a special interest in Sustainable Design. She focuses on aviation design at Teague. For fun she loves dancing, cooking, traveling, and photography. She hopes that her design work will allow her to experience many different cultures, customs, and beautiful cities around the world.

Jennifer Margell, Student Liaison
Jennifer Margell is an Industrial Designer for Lotus Fixtures where she designs primarily fixtures and environments for action sports companies, as well as furniture design. She also enjoys photography, cooking and encaustic painting.

Alex Diener, Northwest Design Invitational Director
Alex is a rain-fueled Seattle native who loves filling his sketchbooks with life’s travels. His best ideas come when sitting in a plane, train, or taxi- when there’s nothing left but paper and pen. When not cooking up products with the Pensar team, you’ll find him at the sushi bar at Tsukushinbo.

Lindsey Berdan, Immediate Past Chair
Lindsey used to be an industrial designer, is currently an interaction designer, and tomorrow may claim to be a user experience designer. She enjoys swimming, skiing, yoga, other people’s dogs and visiting friends in places like Wenatchee, Portland, London, Stuttgart, Dubai and Bangkok.
